Freeze dried fruits
Fruit Solutions is the leading supplier of freeze dried fruit pieces and powders in New Zealand.
Freeze drying provides the perfect solution for retaining flavour, quality and a longer shelf life. Freeze dried fruit is processed under vacuum and dried so that the appearance, structure and taste of the fruit is maintained, while the natural moisture is all but eliminated.
The advantages of freeze dried fruit include:
- A heightened and concentrated taste profile.
- Low moisture content, typically between 4% - 7%.
- The fruit rehydrates very quickly to its former fruit values.
- The fruit is light, very stable and has a two to three year shelf life, provided it is stored away from light and heat.
